Mahjong Palace Edit Mode Help

Play Mode | Edit Mode

Using the Mahjong Palace Editor

Mahjong Palace can be used in edit mode to create or edit tile layouts. Choose "Start Editor" from the Editor menu to enter edit mode. A blank editor layout will appear.

Click on one of the target circles to place a tile on the current level. The new tile will become the currently selected tile. You can then move the selected tile horizontally and vertically by using the ARROW keys. You can only place or select tiles on the current level. You can change the current level by using the level buttons in the toolbar. You can also select which levels are visible in the editor by using the visibility buttons in the toolbar.

Layouts should always be balanced. This means that there should always be an even number of tiles on each level. This insures that a winnable game can always be arranged.

New layouts should be saved in the Mahjong Palace Layouts folder. Doing so will make them available for preview in the Layout Browser window.

Previously created layouts can also be modified using the layout editor. However, doing so will reset the rankings and statistics for the layout.
