Sudoku is
a number placement puzzle based on a 9x9 grid with a series
of given numbers. The object is to place the numbers 1 to 9
in the empty squares so that each row, each column and each
3x3 box contains the same number only once.
A small
grid of numbers will appear in each empty square as you place
the mouse pointer over it. This allows for the placement of
"pencil marks." Pencil marks allow you to mark the possibilities
for a square before placing a permanent number in it.
Click on
a number in the small pencil mark grid to place a pencil mark.
Double-click on a pencil mark to commit to the number. You can
also commit to a number by clicking on a pencil mark with the
control key pressed, pressing the corresponding number key on
the keyboard while over the empty square, or by left-clicking
on a pencil mark with a two button mouse.
The game
options can be set using the Options menu located in the main
menu bar across the top of your display.
